CARMEN CHAN, SENIOR ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

After graduating from the University of Central Lancashire (England) with a Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) in English for International Corporate Communication, Carmen joined Elite as one of the pioneer staff of Elite Asia’s representative office in Korea.

With Elite Asia’s initial expansion into Korea, our priority is to gather our resources so that we can handle bigger projects in the region. Therefore, Carmen’s role as a Account Executive is pivotal in our expansion overseas, helping the company to be better equipped in providing linguistic services to individuals and organizations in Korea and Macau. As a Account Executive, Carmen’s cheerful and approachable personality has allowed her to establish strong relationships with the translators and interpreters who are the core of Elite Asia’s operations.

Carmen’s Higher Diploma in Translation and Interpretation from the HKU School of Professional and Continuing Education has equipped her well for her role as a Talent Liaison, as she is able to see things from both the company’s and the translators’ perspectives.

DID YOU KNOW?

CONSECUTIVE INTERPRETERS in Korea are mainly applied in bilingual conversations, meetings or conferences. Some people hold this misconception that consecutive interpretation is easier than simultaneous interpretation. Actually, in some aspects, CONSECUTIVE INTERPRETERS in Korea are highly required, such as good memory and note-taking skills. During a conference, CONSECUTIVE INTERPRETERS in Korea have less colleagues to share the workload with as compared to simultaneous interpreters, which means that they need long-time persisting concentration for up to a whole day. In addition, CONSECUTIVE INTERPRETERS in Korea need to overcome camera shyness because they often work under people’s attention.

Qualified CONSECUTIVE INTERPRETERS in Korea requires huge amount of systematic and professional training. Ones with rich experience are especially valuable and hard to find. Here at Elite Asia, we have huge talent resources especially for CONSECUTIVE INTERPRETERS in Korea and we are willing to become the bridge between them and our clients, to ensure the smooth progress of meeting or help foreign visitors to adapt into the local environment. Feel free to contact us to request for more information on our CONSECUTIVE INTERPRETERS in Korea at +65 6681 6717 or feel free to use our web form .
